Not every Omega-3 fatty acid is essential. Some of them are not healthy if they stand alone. Only the interaction of all the ingredients makes the oil so valuable. An ordinary apple contains more than 200 different ingredients that make it healthy. Take out one or two and the balance will be destroyed. It's the same with salmon oil. Only the natural composition makes it healthy. Monounsaturated fatty acids MUFA and PUFAS are polyunsaturated acids. This oil normally contains 3.8 g of EPA and 4.7 g of DHA per 100 g of oil.
Oils that show 18% EPA and 12% DHA are not pure salmon oils, but blends. Natural salmon oil has no such value for these two ingredients.
